Building Confidence and Independence
At GWDS, our focus is not simply on getting from one place to another. We aim to help each person develop the confidence and skills to participate more independently in their community.
Where appropriate, we encourage people to take an active role in planning their journeys, making decisions and learning how to use available transport options. Our support can be gradually adjusted as a person's confidence and independence develop.
Person-Centred Support
Every person's transport needs are different. We take the time to understand what is important to each individual and provide support that respects their choices, dignity, safety and independence.
Whether someone is learning a new route, accessing a community activity, attending an appointment or developing the confidence to use public transport, we walk alongside them at their own pace.
Love in Action. Truth in Everything We Do.
Opening pathways to greater independence—supporting people to travel, connect and participate in life with confidence.
